After all, in many situations more licenses of InCopy are required for the editorial staff compared to InDesign licenses for the design staff. Possibly they’re trying to make InCopy more viable to a larger audience or they realize that the monthly cost has been a roadblock for many users. The last time Adobe dropped the price of a product was… never? That may not be completely true but they certainly don’t make a habit of it. One can only speculate the “why” behind Adobe’s decision to reduce the price of InCopy. That’s about the price of a hoagie or a coffee from certain coffee shops! InCopy is of course still part of a full Creative Cloud subscription so there’s no change for those users. But $4.99/month is really hard to argue with. That’s a 75% price drop!
